General Questions

Water treatment is the process of improving water quality to make it more suitable for drinking, bathing, appliances, and other uses. Treatment methods include filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, and disinfection — each targeting specific contaminants or water quality issues.

Common signs include white scale buildup on faucets and appliances, rust or orange stains in sinks and tubs, a rotten egg or chlorine smell, dry skin and hair, bad tasting water, or frequent appliance breakdowns. The best way to know for certain is a professional water test — which we offer completely free in store.

Yes! We offer 100% free in store water testing with no obligationor our technicians come to your home or business, test your water on-site, explain the results in plain English, and recommend solutions only if needed. There is absolutely no pressure to purchase anything.

Absolutely. We provide free, detailed estimates for all work. You'll know exactly what the system costs, what it includes, and what to expect — before you make any decisions.

We serve all of Osceola County including St. Cloud, Kissimmee, Celebration, Harmony, and Poinciana, as well as surrounding areas including parts of Orange, Lake, and Polk counties. Call us to confirm service to your area.

Water Softeners

Hard water contains high levels of dissolved calcium and magnesium minerals. These minerals cause scale buildup inside pipes, water heaters, dishwashers, and washing machines — reducing efficiency and lifespan. Hard water also leaves spots on dishes, makes soaps less effective, and can cause dry skin and hair. Central Florida is known for very hard water.

Water softeners use a process called ion exchange. Hard water passes through a tank filled with resin beads that are charged with sodium ions. The calcium and magnesium ions swap places with the sodium ions, effectively removing them from the water. The resin is periodically recharged (regenerated) with salt water to restore its capacity.

No. A properly functioning water softener adds a very small, barely detectable amount of sodium to water. Most people cannot taste any difference. If you're concerned about sodium, we recommend adding a reverse osmosis drinking water system, which removes virtually all sodium along with other dissolved solids.

This depends on the size of the system and your water hardness level, but most residential softeners use roughly 6-8 lbs of salt per regeneration cycle. High-efficiency systems with metered valves only regenerate when needed, significantly reducing salt and water usage.

A quality water softener, properly maintained, can last years. The resin media typically lasts 5-6 years before it may need replacing. We offer annual service inspections to keep your system running at peak performance.

Reverse Osmosis

A quality reverse osmosis system removes up to 99% of dissolved contaminants including lead, arsenic, nitrates, fluoride, chlorine, chloramines, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, bacteria, and virtually all dissolved solids (TDS). It produces some of the purest drinking water available.

Pre-filters, post-filters, and membranes typically need replacement 12 months depending on water quality and usage. We offer filter change service plans to take the guesswork out of maintenance.

In most cases, yes. RO water is filtered on-demand at your home and is not sitting in plastic bottles. It's also dramatically cheaper — pennies per gallon versus dollars per gallon for bottled water. You'll also eliminate the environmental impact of plastic bottles.

Yes, RO removes virtually all minerals, including beneficial ones like calcium and magnesium. However, we offer remineralization filter options that add healthy minerals back into the water after the RO process, giving you the best of both worlds.

Well Water

City (municipal) water is pre-treated by the utility, but may still have chlorine, chloramines, or other issues. Well water is untreated and can contain iron, sulfur, manganese, bacteria, tannins, and varying pH levels. Every well is different, which is why we always start with a comprehensive water test before recommending any system.

That odor is caused by hydrogen sulfide gas (H₂S) that naturally occurs in some groundwater. It's particularly common in Florida well water. While it's usually not dangerous at low levels, it's unpleasant and can corrode plumbing. We have several proven solutions including air injection systems and oxidizing filters.

Orange staining is caused by dissolved iron in your water. Even low levels of iron (as little as 0.3 ppm) can cause significant staining. We can test your iron levels and recommend the right removal system — from simple filter media to more complex oxidizing systems depending on your iron concentration.

Yes, we strongly recommend periodic bacteria testing for all private well owners. The EPA recommends testing at least once a year. If you notice changes in water color, taste, or smell, or if there's been flooding near your well, test immediately. We can recommend a local certified lab for bacteria testing.

Service & Maintenance

Yes. We service and repair all major brands of water softeners, filters, and reverse osmosis systems — regardless of where they were purchased or installed. Bring us your problem and we'll fix it.

A rebed is the process of replacing the ion exchange resin in your water softener. Over time resin beads break down and lose their effectiveness. Signs you may need a rebed include water that no longer feels soft, higher salt consumption, or a water test showing the softener is not removing hardness effectively.

Common signs include: water feels hard again, the system isn't using salt, you hear unusual noises during regeneration, water pressure has dropped, or there's salt in your water. Call us and we can diagnose the problem — often over the phone.

Yes, we offer annual service inspection plans and filter change service plans. These are great for homeowners who want the peace of mind of knowing their system is always running correctly without having to remember filter change schedules.
